Zaporizhzhia medical institutions received vehicles for palliative care
21/05/2025
The European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine have delivered two vehicles to medical facilities in Zaporizhzhia to support the provision of palliative care service.
The specialized vehicles will ensure comfortable transportation for patients to and from medical facilities and allow multidisciplinary teams to provide essential qualified care at home, while maintaining the dignity of the service recipients. 🚑
Outreach palliative care allows patients to remain in a familiar environment, promoting emotional well-being and a sense of calm. Furthermore, home care can be tailored to meet the specific needs of people receiving assistance, as well as their families. 🛋️ 👨👩👦
The transferred vehicles are equipped with lifts, wheelchairs, and other assistive equipment that will enhance the community’s ability to provide high-quality health care services to those in need.
