The European Parliament has adopted a resolution on the return of Ukrainian children deported or forcibly relocated by Russia
09/05/2025
According to the EP press service, the resolution was supported by 516 MEPs, three voted against and 34 abstained.
“Members of the European Parliament strongly condemn the “genocidal strategy” pursued by Russia with the support of Belarus and aimed at destroying Ukrainian identity. The forced displacement and deportation of Ukrainian children, their illegal adoption, murder, as well as forced Russification and militarization must stop,” the message says.
“Any genuine peace agreement must include the repatriation of these children and accountability for forced relocations and deportations,” the MEPs conclude.
