Сhildren’s space in the heart of Kyiv: play, explore, achieve
29/05/2026
The interactive children’s space from the EU Delegation to Ukraine is back!
On 6 June, the lawn beside the National Museum of the History of Ukraine will turn into a large space for play, discovery and connection. Here, children and teenagers can take part in quests and try out new roles, while parents and relatives will find useful answers about safety, care and support.

TVORCHI will make the weekend unforgettable!
When: Saturday, 6 June, starting at 12:00.
Where: the lawn beside the National Museum of the History of Ukraine (2 Volodymyrska Street).
Admission is free. Drop by at any time during the day, with the whole family!
What to expect
- Quizzes and entertainment. Interactive zones will run all day on the lawn, with contests and prizes.
- Workshops. Children can make something with their own hands: draw, build, invent a story or create a keepsake. The formats vary, from creative activities to science experiments.
- Performances. The Ravlyk Theatre will present a puppet show for younger children – and the grown-ups beside them will enjoy it too!
- A cooking masterclass with a celebrity chef. Everyone is welcome to cook and taste dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of different European countries.
- A meeting and informal chat with the EU Ambassador to Ukraine, the Head of UNICEF in Ukraine and European Youth Ambassadors.

Why this day matters
Childhood cannot be put on pause, whatever is happening around us. The European Union believes that today, as always, Ukrainian children have the right to care and to development. This is why it has created this space for the second time: so that Ukraine’s youngest girls and boys hold on to bright memories of a summer that left room for joy and discovery, even in wartime.
The EU’s support for Ukrainian children and families does not stop on a single day. It runs through dozens of projects and initiatives in education, in rebuilding schools and kindergartens, in psychological support, and in developing family-based care as an alternative to institutions. This is systematic work with communities, professionals and families – work that is underway now and will continue.
Together with us
The event is organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine together with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF Ukraine).
