Ukraine: EU and UNDP hand over energy equipment to medical facilities in Mykolaiv
09/12/2022
The European Union and UNDP have purchased and handed over equipment to medical facilities in the Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv to ensure their smooth operation during the winter period.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Mykolaiv has received temporarily displaced persons from other Ukrainian regions. At the same time, the city is regularly subjected to shelling and rocket attacks. Therefore, the load on medical facilities has increased noticeably.
The EU and UNDP donated heaters, inverter air conditioners, a petrol generator and battery-powered table lamps. The equipment was procured within the framework of the UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme, implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
The donation will ensure the operation of procedure rooms and laboratories, as well as medical rooms in the Primary Healthcare Centre No.1 of Mykolaiv City Council.
