Project Description
The importance of civil society in Ukraine is growing, especially in wartimes. Civil Society Organisations need further support in increasing their capacities and in developing capabilities in funding diversification, not-for-profit management, transparency and accountability as well as communication and constituencies building.

The overall objective of the project "Support to EU engagement with civil society organisations in Ukraine II" is to ensure a smooth implementation of EU civil society support in Ukraine. A team of experts is working with the civil society team in the EU Delegation and EU grantees to increase impact of EU support to CSOs. To this end, the project is helping to put in place tools for support to CSOs and to promote EU support to the civil society sector in Ukraine, including through numerous communication activities.
Specific Objective
The overall objective of the project is to ensure a smooth implementation of EU civil society support in Ukraine. The purpose of the project is to provide support to EU grantees (and potential grantees) civil society organisations in ensuring maximum understanding and impact of EU support to CSOs in Ukraine, as well as maximum synergy between past, ongoing and future relevant initiatives.

Specific objective(s)
- Support setting in place tools to support the EU to plan and deliver its support to CSOs in Ukraine.
- To ensure continuity and maintenance of the EU - civil society dialogue and promotion of EU support to CSOs in Ukraine.
Expected Results
Strategic support
- Guidance and synthesis notes, overviews, and presentation materials covering EU support to civil society in Ukraine
- Elaboration of reports and analyses on issues related to civil society support in Ukraine and the state of the civic sector in Ukraine
- Support to activities of relevant national platforms and networks
- Information notes and reports on the impact of ongoing and past EU-funded civil society projects
- Accompanying and helping prepare identification and monitoring missions on upcoming/ ongoing EU civil society support
- Accompanying EU staff to international meetings that may inform EU support to civil society in Ukraine
- Maximum 20 trainings, consultations, information sessions and other events with ongoing and potential EU grantees
- Dissemination (using existing channels) of information on available opportunities for funding for grantees (and sub-grantees) of EU support to CSOs in Ukraine
- Maximum 10 scoping missions to regions to support identification of civil society needs

Communication support
- Content generation around results and impact of EU support to civil society
- Maximum 10 public relations trainings for EU grantees or potential grantees; provision of individual mentoring
- Maximum 5 scoping and promotion missions to regions to support specific communication and visibility needs of EU grantees (or subgrantees)
- Establishing and managing media partnerships for the promotion of civil society work
- Contributing to the development of media content for civil society promotion
- Implementation of a public promotion plan of EU support to civil society in Ukraine
