The exchange continues! Within just a week, Ukrainians exchanged 1 million old bulbs for energy-saving ones. From December 12, pensioners of the Kyiv region will be able to exchange 5 additional LED bulbs at local Ukrposhta offices.

This way the EU contributes to strengthening Ukraine’s energy security and resilience. Within just one week, Ukrainians exchanged 1,000,000 energy-intensive incandescent bulbs for energy-saving LED ones. In so doing, Ukrainians supported the exchange programme extension from December 5 and on.

From December 12, residents of the Kyiv region will be able to benefit from the new rules. From now on, following other regions, pensioners in the capital region will have an opportunity to exchange additional 5 old light bulbs for energy-saving ones at Ukrposhta offices.

At the same time, the light bulb exchange is available for individuals and legal entities that have not yet benefitted from the opportunity to replace outdated incandescent bulbs with energy-saving ones. Citizens can exchange up to 5 incandescent lamps for the same number of LEDs at Ukrposhta outlets, while legal entities can do it through the DIIA portal.

The programme of exchanging incandescent bulbs for energy-saving LEDs has been underway for a year now, and during this time Ukrainians have exchanged more than 22 million light bulbs, thereby making their contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s power grid resilience.
