From ruins to modern medicine: updated hospital laboratory opened in Makariv with EU support
The clinical diagnostics laboratory at Makariv Hospital has been renovated. The repairs were carried out under the “EU Support for the Recovery of Makariv” programme, funded by the European Union and coordinated by NEFCO. This was reported by Vadym Tokar, the head of Makariv.

In addition to refurbishing the premises, the local community funded the purchase of modern laboratory furniture and the setup of staff workstations. Thanks to this, the laboratory is now operating in line with modern research standards.

Tokar says the modernization will allow community residents to receive the necessary laboratory services directly in Makariv, while medical staff will be able to work in comfortable, properly equipped conditions.

The restoration of the community’s infrastructure continues, and projects like this are important steps toward improving residents’ quality of life.
