Work is ongoing in Slavutych on the installation of solar power stations at four municipal infrastructure facilities. Their combined capacity will be 1.59 MW.
This was reported by Slavutych City Council on Facebook.
The new solar power stations are intended to serve as an additional source of electricity for municipal facilities and enhance their resilience during periodic outages of the centralised power supply.
The city council notes that developing its own generation capacity is also part of Slavutych’s gradual transition to the use of renewable energy sources.
The installation of modern energy equipment is expected to contribute to more autonomous and reliable operation of the city’s municipal infrastructure.
The work is being carried out under the grant project “Restoration of Heat Supply Facilities in the City of Slavutych, Kyiv Oblast.“
The project is funded by the European Union and is being implemented with the support of NEFCO, which acts as programme manager of the European Union programme.
Slavutych City Council expressed gratitude to international partners for their support of the community and the implementation of energy projects in the city.
