EU and UNDP procure two vehicles to mobile social services teams in Chernivtsi
The European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine recently handed over two specialised vehicles to the mobile social services units of Khotyn and Sokyriany communities in Chernivtsi Oblast.
These vehicles will significantly improve the efficiency of providing social services to vulnerable people who require regular support.
The multidisciplinary mobile social teams provide a wide range of services, including home care, palliative care, household assistance or delivery of food and essential items. The vehicles will ensure rapid visits to older people, people with disabilities, and those with reduced mobility, memory issues, or serious illnesses.
The vehicles were procured and equipped as part of the flagship ‘EU4Recovery – Empowering Communities in Ukraine’ partnership between UNDP and the EU.
