Between June and September 2026, suppliers contracted via the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, co-chaired by the European Commission, delivered €102.5 million in energy equipment to Ukrainian energy companies.
According to a press release published by the Fund on 1 October, most went to systems that keep homes lit and heated: repairing damaged power plants and installing new, decentralised generation, rebuilding the substations that carry electricity from the national grid to cities and neighbourhoods, and restoring local gas production and the networks that bring gas to homes, district heating, public services and industry.
Over the same four months, the Fund concluded €166 million in new contracts. In September alone, 83 supply contracts were signed worth €30 million.
Regarding the upcoming winter, €221.4 million in equipment is scheduled for delivery by the end of February 2027, including €154.2 million before the end of this year.
A further €825 million worth of equipment is in various stages of procurement, out of which over €120 million worth of procurement is currently online on the platform and in the bidding phase. Contracts over €135 million are expected to be signed by Ukrainian energy companies within days.
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was established in 2022, in agreement with the European Commission and Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy, to counteract the impact of Russian attacks on critical energy infrastructure. It brings together governments, international financial institutions and international organisations, as well as NGO and corporate donors, through a single, accountable channel. It is administered by the Energy Community Secretariat.
Contributions finance Ukraine’s most urgent energy needs: equipment, spare parts and other technical items, as well as fuels and services. Current and upcoming tenders are published at uesf.fund and on the Energy Community Secretariat’s procurement page.
