€1.4 Million Grant Competition for Theatres, Dance Companies, and Cultural Organisations

14/07/2026

The European Union, under its flagship cultural programme Creative Europe, has announced a new competition for international touring projects with a total budget of €1.4 million.

The programme is called Perform Europe, and a portion of the funding has been guaranteed specifically for Ukraine. The organisers have stipulated that at least 5% of the budget will be directed towards projects involving Ukrainian partners or supporting Ukraine’s performing arts sector.

Applications are open to theatres, dance companies, circus troupes, performance, and interdisciplinary arts organisations. To participate, applicants must form an international partnership with organisations from countries taking part in the Creative Europe programme.

Grants are available in the amounts of €15,000, €25,000, or €55,000, with additional funding of up to €5,000 available for individual projects.

The funding covers international touring, logistics, the organisation of performances, partnership development, and audience engagement.

The application deadline is 22 October 2026. This is one of Europe’s largest programmes supporting international collaboration in the performing arts, and an opportunity for Ukrainian cultural organisations to find partners across Europe and realise joint projects.
