First Grant Call for Civil Society “Resilience through Partnership”

the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) launched the first wave of the grant competition Resilience through Partnership: Civil Society on the Path to the EU.

The call is implemented within the project Resilience and Engagement for Ukraine: Empowering Civil Society to Address War-Induced Needs and Advance Ukraine on its Path to the EU and is funded by the European Union.

The aim of the grant competition is to support partnerships between civil society organizations, think tanks, academia, and the media to develop joint analytical and communication products focused on monitoring, analysing, and promoting (advocating for) reforms related to Ukraine’s European integration.

These partnerships are expected to strengthen the analytical and thematic capacity of participating organisations’ project activities.

Competition priorities

  • Strengthening the institutional and thematic capacity of CSOs to advocate for, monitor, and communicate reforms aligned with EU legislation.
  • Promoting partnerships between CSOs, academic institutions, media, and other relevant organisations to combine analytical expertise with communication potential.

Priority thematic areas

Priority EU acquis chapters and illustrative topics include:

  • Chapter 10: Digital Transformation and Media
  • Chapter 14: Transport Policy
  • Chapter 20: Enterprise and Industrial Policy
  • Chapter 29: Customs Union
