Grant call supporting reintegration of veterans and community development in Ukraine

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and its partners, as part of the EU4Recovery programme in Ukraine, invites veterans’ organisations and civil society organisations working with veterans and their families to take part in a grant competition.

The grants cover three areas:

  • Support for veterans’ initiatives aimed at reintegration, participation in community life and the development of local communities. Possible initiatives include adapted sports, civic engagement and leadership, culture and creativity, social cohesion, economic participation and self-fulfilment.
  • Strengthening the capacity of veterans’ organisations and civil society organisations that provide services to veterans, and developing partnerships, networks and collaboration between organisations.
  • Supporting initiatives in the field of mental health and the psychosocial wellbeing of veterans and their families, in particular the development of psychological and psychosocial support, mutual support groups, and support for the families of those killed in action and missing in action.

Organisations from across Ukraine are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to organisations from partner communities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.

The deadline for applications is 14 October.

The grant competition is organised with the support of the governments of Denmark, Switzerland, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Germany, and as part of EU4Recovery, a flagship partnership between the European Union and UNDP, co-funded by the Government of Sweden.
