Grants for cross-border investigative journalist teams
The EU-supported Local Cross-Border Investigative Journalism Programme launches a call with several deadlines to support investigative teams of professional journalists and/or news outlets, including from Georgia and Ukraine.
Teams of at least two professional journalists and/or (local) news outlets can submit a proposal for a journalistic investigation about any issues that concern and relate to Europe.
The total available amount per call to be distributed among all supported investigations will be around €100,000.
The grant can cover working time and expenses such as logistics, travel, insurance, access to legal support, translations, access to technology and data sets, etc.
Along with financial support, teams can also apply for mentorship from an experienced professional with either focus on the investigation or the need for competencies in a specific skill.
For this grant programme, there are six application rounds scheduled over a period of two years (2022-2023).
The application deadlines are 10 November 2022, 12 January 2023, 16 March 2023, and 25 May 2023.
