During a trip to Vinnytsia region organised by the U-LEAD with Europe programme, community leaders from Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions studied best practices in organising certain services, which can now be implemented for the benefit of their residents.
This was reported by Ukrinform on the Programme’s Facebook page.
“For several days, the heads of local self-government bodies studied the best practices of service provision in three communities of Vinnytsia region. On the first day of the visit, organised by U-LEAD, they visited the Illintsi community, where they got acquainted with the practice of health care provision, the functioning of the primary health care centre and the city hospital,” the statement reads.
The Illintsi community presented an interesting case to the guests – they shared their experience in organising the collection of solid waste in the community and the launch of the line for processing it into paving slabs and kerbstones.
The participants got acquainted with the experience of forming an efficient network of educational institutions and establishing central educational institutions and their branches in the Nemyriv community.
Representatives of the Tulchyn Town Territorial Community spoke about local social protection programmes for military personnel currently defending their homeland, their families, internally displaced persons, assistance to people in crises and the community’s network of social institutions.
The community leaders visited the museum apartment of Mykola Leontovych, the composer of the world-famous Christmas carol “Shchedryk”, and the Leontovych Art Quarter project. They also visited the Potocki Palace, where the international opera music festival OperaFest Tulchyn takes place.
