As the Main Department of the State Tax Service (STS) in Dnipropetrovsk region reports, STS representatives attended the tenth meeting of the EU4PFM Steering Committee. Representatives of the EU4PFM, the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the European Commission, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the State Tax Service, and the State Customs Service discussed how joint projects will be implemented in 2023.
Last year, the STS achieved significant results in implementing the projects renewed in March. In cooperation with EU4PFM, the State Tax Service has demonstrated effective work during martial law. Thanks to these efforts, many projects are already at the final stage.
In turn, Nataliia Kalenichenko, Deputy Head of the State Tax Service for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization, thanked EU4PFM experts for their support, which helped the STS to continue developing and improving administration processes in line with European standards. According to her, the STS managed to establish uninterrupted operations starting from the first days of the war, quickly adapt the IT system during martial law, and ensure the operation of the organization, its systems and services.
The meeting identified the main areas of cooperation in the tax administration. Today, the STS’s focus is to keep making efforts to harmonize legislation and implement EU directives and rules in STS’s operation, as well as OECD guidelines and standards. Another priority is to continue improving services. Digitalization will become one of the main tasks in the near future, along with STS operational processes.
