House of Europe launches grant call for translating books from and into endangered languages

On 26 September, on European Day of Languages, the EUβs House of Europe programme launched its eighth wave of translation grants.
Ten Ukrainian publishers will receive up to β¬5,000 for translating books from and into endangered languages: Belarusian, Gagauz, Yiddish, Karaite, Crimean Tatar, Krymchak, Roma, Rumey, or Urum languages.
Translation grants will support the selected publishers at each project stage, from translation to promo, and will cover all expenses (translation, editing, transfer of copyright, design, printing, and marketing of the book).
To participate, you should be registered as a legal entity: Ltd, non-governmental organisation, or individual entrepreneur.
The deadline for application is 24 October.
