Justice matters most when people can feel it working
⚖️ That’s why we’re supporting Ukraine’s civil society organisations in bridging the gaps between citizens and the courts.
Since January 2025, the EU Project Pravo-Justice has awarded €680 000 in competitive grants to nine NGOs empowering experts to contribute to a fairer and faster justice system.
Here’s what that looks like on the ground:
🔹 psychological support for prosecutors documenting war crime evidence
🔹 improved quality of judicial services and organisation of court work
🔹 child-friendly interview rooms and specially trained staff to help young witnesses speak without fear
🔹 LGBTQI+ Ukrainians can rely on procedures which respect their dignity
🔹 lawyers get hands-on training with Supreme Court’s digital tools
🇺🇦 Each initiative addresses a specific obstacle, and together they help to build public trust in the rule of law — a cornerstone of Ukraine’s future.
