More than 80% of Ukrainians would vote to join the EU and NATO if referendums were held today, a significant increase from December 2021 when only 69% supported the idea. This is evidenced by the results of the latest survey by the Razumkov Center. 81% of respondents are ready to take part in a referendum on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
Specifically, 88% are ready to vote for joining the European Union, and only 8% are against. In December 2021, this ratio was 78% and 18%. Support is strongest in western Ukraine (96%), followed by the central regions (90%), the east (81%), and the south (69%).
The figures are approximately the same for a referendum on joining NATO. 82% of respondents would participate in such a referendum, with 86% voting in favour and only 10% against. In 2021, 78% supported joining NATO, and 18% were against.
Support for NATO membership also shows strong regional variations, with 95% in favour in western Ukraine, 88.5% in the central regions, 78% in the east, and 64% in the south.
As OBOZ.UA reported, at least 91.5% of Ukrainians trust the Armed Forces of the country, and 83% believe in Ukraine’s victory in the war with Russia.
Another survey showed that more than half of the citizens (61%) are in favour of having only one Orthodox Church in Ukraine. 16% are against this idea, and for another 20% of respondents, this issue does not matter.
