EUFF 2023: Europe speaking cinema

The European Film Festival 2023 (EUFF), an online festival of European cinematography, will take place in Ukraine from December 13th to 19th, 2023. The festival is organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine together with the European cultural institutions Goethe-Institut, Institut Français, and Cineuropa.

This year’s festival will showcase the outstanding achievements of European cinema and introduce to the audience the contemporary cinema of Ukraine. The EUFF 2023 will present nine films that won awards at international film festivals. They will be available for free on the festival’s online platform.

There is a two-step procedure to join the EUFF 2023:

  1. Register on eurofest.org.ua;
  2. Rent the film for free and watch it at any convenient time between December 13 and 19.

The EUFF 2023 program includes such films as Luxembourg, Luxembourg (Ukraine), Any Day Now (Finland), My Love Affair with Marriage (Latvia, Luxembourg), The Gods of Molenbeek (Finland), Luzzu (Malta), Oscar and Lilly – Where No One Knows Us (Austria), Dating Amber (Ireland, UK), Io Sto Bene (Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Italy), and Lullaby (Spain). The full program and film descriptions are available on the EUFF website.

“EUFF is an international project that promotes cultural exchange between EU countries and Ukraine. Our common vector of development is reflected in this year’s festival program. It includes both European film products and, for the first time, a Ukrainian film as well. And this is a sign of a deepening dialogue and strengthening partnership between Europe and Ukraine,” the EU Delegation to Ukraine noted.
