Project Description
Ukrainian Women’s Fund partnered up with La Strada-Ukraine and JurFem – experienced NGOs in the sector, as well as the Government Commissioner on Gender Equality Policy aiming to develop sustainable solutions on working with CRSV survivors.
Specific Objective
1. Build the capacity of key stakeholders to provide targeted support to survivors;
2. Create an effective system of prevention and response to conflict-related sexual violence at a regional level;
3. Contribute to the development of a legal framework for responding to conflict-related sexual violence and advocate for its adoption.
Expected Results
1. Capacity of key stakeholders to provide targeted support to CRSV survivors is built based on best international experience adapted to the national/regional context.
2. Ukrainian expertise on prevention and response to CRSV is strengthened.
3. Effective system of providing targeted support to CRSV survivors based on regional cooperation mechanisms between key stakeholders is built.
4. Specific solutions to provide targeted support to CRSV survivors and strengthen the interaction between key stakeholders are implemented, lessons are learnt, proposals on up-scaling these solutions are tabled with the government.
5. Legal framework to facilitate reparations to CRSV survivors and make prosecution of CRSV cases public (rather than private) is developed.
