Culture VS War

Project Description
The Ukrainian cultural product today is one of the effective ways to convey the feelings and thoughts of Ukrainians, demonstrating and reflecting on the tragic events taking place in the heart of Europe. The narratives and messages conveyed by Ukrainian art and culture are powerful tools in the fight against Russian propaganda. Presenting the Ukrainian cultural product to a foreign audience, we broadcast the image of modern Ukraine. In the times of the greatest challenges, art and culture are extremely important for the Ukrainian nation in overcoming the terrible stresses of war, strengthening the motivation for resistance and increasing faith in victory in a reality dominated by violence and pain. Documentaries can be a powerful tool to tell stories that might not otherwise be heard. They are a unique genre of film that tell factual stories about real-life events, people, and places and to engage audiences in a way no other medium can. Powerful documentaries can change the way people think about a topic, open their eyes to new perspectives, or even inspire them to take action. In addition to changing the way people think, documentaries can also change the way people feel. They can be emotional and moving experiences that touch viewers on a personal level. Through the products of the project and the active participation of the world-famous Ukrainian artists, the "Culture vs War" project aims to share with the world cultural and philosophical views on the war of Russia against Ukraine and increase worldwide loyalty and support for Ukraine and Ukrainians.
Specific Objective
7 documentary films creation
Systematic distribution and promotion
Book and articles production
To reach offline audiences we have developed a number of partnerships with key organizations that have content area expertise, are already working on the issues addressed in the films and have relationships with key audiences. These partnerships are also critical to a campaign’s sustainability beyond the release. To target specific groups of audiences, we also consider pegging screenings to national or international events and planning to organize charity screenings. A separate effort of the distribution plan will be directed at diplomatic missions to engage their representatives to familiarize themselves with our products.
Expected Results
Drawing the attention of international community to the war in Ukraine via alternative cultural solutions, national values, senses, power of Ukrainian people defending their human rights and freedom of the country, showing the culture and history of Ukraine.
