Seven key border crossing points in Ukraine equipped with uninterruptible power supply systems thanks to EU project
17/01/2025
Seven key border crossing points (BCPs) in Ukraine now have uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, thanks to an EU-funded project.
This major upgrade was funded by the EU4IBM-Resilience project, which invested nearly €200,000 in these advanced solutions and provided training and certification.
With UPS in place, stationary X-ray scanners remain fully operational during unscheduled power shutdowns, avoiding downtime at high-load BCPs.
“This means smoother trade flows, increased effectiveness against contraband — and ultimately stronger border security for Ukraine,” the EU Delegation to Ukraine said in a Facebook.
