EcoHub opening in Ternopil, Ukraine, with EU and UNDP support
On 22 November, the first EcoHub opened in the Ukrainian city of Ternopil.
The EcoHub, located at ‘Open Space Ternopil’, is a collaborative coworking space created to unite those driving the city towards the green transition.
In 2021, Ternopil became one of the winners of the Portfolio Approach to Municipal Transformation competition, funded by the European Union through the M4EG Facility, implemented by UNDP. In May 2024, the city of Ternopil started the active phase of its Portfolio Journey.
Addressing the EcoHub opening ceremony, Ternopil Mayor Serhii Nadal said: “Ternopil is confidently moving towards creating a city that harmoniously combines modern technologies, environmental awareness, and comfort for its residents. Thanks to cooperation with the EU, UNDP, and other partners, we are creating a green transformation hub, updating our community development strategy and implementing innovative solutions.”
