CIRCULAR ECONOMY – PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE MODELS OF PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION IN UKRAINE
Project Description
The project aimed at developing a circular economy strategy meet the contemporary requirements of sustainable development and ensure optimal resource utilization. The implementation of the circular economy project is supported by the European Union, providing financial, technical, and organizational assistance. Their primary objective is to transition from a linear consumption and production model to a circular system where waste is transformed into resources. Project of this nature encompass an analysis of economic, environmental, and social aspects, as well as the development of strategies for innovative technologies and business models. Key steps in the implementation of such project include incentivizing efficient resource utilization, raising public awareness, and supporting government initiatives aimed at promoting the circular economy. A crucial component of these project is partnerships among governmental bodies, industrial enterprises, academic institutions, and civil society organizations to jointly implement strategies and achieve sustainable development goals.
Specific Objective
Contribute to the transformation of the Ukrainian economy into a modern, clean, resource-efficient and competitive one, while economic growth is not related to the use of resources, and the health and well-being of citizens are protected from risks and impacts related to the environment.
Specific goals:
1. To establish and reflect the current state of the closed-loop economy in Ukraine in terms of policy, legislation, key players, private sector activities and barriers;
2. Determine the potential opportunities and consequences of the transition to a closed cycle economy in Ukraine for (at least 5 and up to 10) pre-selected priority sectors and production and sales chains;
3. Develop a strategy for the closed cycle economy and an action plan.
Specific goals:

The final result of the work is the National Circular Economy Strategy
