The European Union is helping municipalities in Ukraine to create safe and comfortable conditions for students to return to in-person schooling
28/03/2024
As a result of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, many local schools and school buses in affected municipalities have been destroyed or damaged. This forces students to travel longer distances to reach functioning schools, exacerbating transport needs in these areas.
The “Local School Rehabilitation for Resilience” initiative, implemented by U-LEAD with Europe and funded by the European Commission’s Service for Foreign Policy Instruments, has provided 7 municipalities with new school buses.
This will ensure that students can safely reach their schools, which have been rebuilt under the same initiative in partnership with the BRAVE Foundation.
