Specialized equipment for the rehabilitation of wounded border guards has been delivered to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine thanks to the support of the EU-funded EU4IBM-Resilience project.
The equipment, totaling €200,000, has reached three hospitals of the State Border Guard Service, enabling a full cycle of physical rehabilitation:
- Cryotherapy device: reduces pain and shrinks the circumference of the treated areas.
- Exoskeleton: helps improve mobility for people with muscular dystrophy and traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries.
- Adaptable kinesio training device: strengthens muscles and improves flexibility.
- Dynamic verticalizer: helps patients regain independent gait.
Adjustable rehabilitation stairs: train gait, improve balance, and develop strength in the lower limbs.
Each delivery included training sessions for medical personnel, ensuring efficient use of the equipment.
The photo below shows the operation of the cryotherapy device.
