Specialized equipment for the rehabilitation of wounded border guards has been delivered to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine thanks to the support of the EU-funded EU4IBM-Resilience project.
The equipment, totaling €200,000, has reached three hospitals of the State Border Guard Service, enabling a full cycle of physical rehabilitation:
- Cryotherapy device: reduces pain and shrinks the circumference of the treated areas.
- Exoskeleton: helps improve mobility for people with muscular dystrophy and traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries.
- Adaptable kinesio training device: strengthens muscles and improves flexibility.
- Dynamic verticalizer: helps patients regain independent gait.
Adjustable rehabilitation stairs: train gait, improve balance, and develop strength in the lower limbs.
Each delivery included training sessions for medical personnel, ensuring efficient use of the equipment.
