The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Ukraine, with EU support, handed over new vehicles – boats and cars – to Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service in September.
Ukrainian border guards in Kyiv and Vinnytsia received three vehicles and five equipped border boats. These vehicles will help them secure the land and blue borders in a changing operational environment and increased workload.
This assistance was made possible with EU financial support.
Since the outbreak of full-scale war, the IOM, together with the European Union, has stepped up support for border guards, in particular by providing the necessary equipment for their border operations.
