The European Commission provided the selection results of Erasmus+ projects within Jean Monnet Action. As of now, out of 465 submitted projects with the participation of Ukraine, 90 Jean Monnet projects have been selected for funding, of which 88 are coordinated by 45 universities from Ukraine: 82 Modules, 5 Chairs and 1 Center of Excellence. Additionally, 4 Ukrainian HEIs have become partners in 2 Jean Monnet Networks in Higher Education. As a matter of fact, 92 projects teams will contribute to the training of new cohort of Eurointgrators of Ukraine.
Jean Monnet Actions focus on teaching, learning, research, and debates on various aspects of the European Union and EU integration. It will hence help empower a new generation of European integrators from the academic sphere who will support Ukraine on its path as a candidate for EU membership.
Starting from September – October 2023, 48 higher education institutions of from different cities of Ukraine, in particular: Cherkassy, Chernihiv, Chernivtsi, Dnipro, Irpin, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, Kyiv, Lutsk, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Ostrog, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Uzhhorod, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr will start the implementation of new Jean Monet projects. Sumy State University received a record number of 13 projects, Lviv Polytechnic National University – 5 projects, Zaporizhzhya National University, Dnipro University of Technology, National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, National University of Ostroh Academy, Taras Shevchenko National University Chernihiv Colehium, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics – 3 projects each. In addition, Koretsky State and Law Institute of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv School of Economics and others are among “newcomers”.

During the Jean Monnet call in 2021 and 2022 within new stage of the EUs Erasmus+ Programme for 2021-2027, 131 projects were selected for funding: 115 Modules, 12 Chairs and 4 Centres of Excellence, which are implemented by Ukrainian universities during of war. In the context of previous stage of Erasmus+ in 2014-2020 calls 121 Jean Monnet projects were funded: 82 Modules, 12 Chairs, 4 Centres of Excellence, 10 Projects, 5 Networks and 8 Support for Associations activities, implemented in the field of European Studies in 20 cities of all over Ukraine by 57 organisations from 21 cities from Ukraine: 45 Higher Education Institutions, 2 research institutions and 10 NGOs.
