Thirteen projects involving 51 universities and other organisations from Ukraine have been selected for funding under the European Union Erasmus+ Programme for Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education Action.
The selected projects focus on modernising educational programmes in the fields of ecology, medical education, eco-extraction and innovative natural resource management, aquaculture and fisheries, management modernisation and higher and vocational education.
There are nine national projects and four multinational projects funded. A total of 65 partners from 24 countries, including from Armenia, Georgia, and Moldova, are among the project teams.
The partnership involves 51 Ukrainian universities representing polytechnics, medicine, pedagogy, economics, agriculture, architecture and home affairs, including six resettled universities from the temporarily occupied territories.
Four Ukrainian universities will act as project grantholders-coordinators: the Bukovinian State Medical University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, and Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
In total, 145 projects were selected for funding. Ukraine has the biggest number of projects in the Eastern Partnership Region and is among the top 12 Participating Countries of the Programme.
