Thirteen Ukrainian companies to receive EU social enterprise support

03/06/2022

The EU-funded ‘Rapid Response Grant Programme for Social Enterprises’, which aims to support the activities of Ukrainian social enterprises during the war, has announced that 13 companies have been selected for EU support.

The programme, implemented by the ‘Collaborate for Impact’ project, has received more than 150 applications, and the expert committee selected 13 social enterprises from them, including from Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and other Ukrainian cities.

All selected enterprises continue to operate, scale and develop existing or new products and services that meet the requirements of the time. The main expectation is that thanks to the support, all selected enterprises will be able to adapt to martial law and strengthen their commercial potential. The awarded social entrepreneurs will receive smart grants amounting to 300,000 hryvnias to develop their business and increase social impact.

The project ‘Collaborate for Impact – development of social entrepreneurship and social investments towards economic and social cohesion in the Eastern Partnership’ is led by the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA), with the support of the European Union, and in collaboration with partner organisations in the region’s countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
