The EU-funded U-LEAD with Europe programme has supplied emergency equipment to Ukrainian municipalities affected by the war. The programme has provided wheel loaders to municipalities badly damaged or close to the fighting, used for emergency repairs or street clearing. ‘U-LEAD with Europe’ has also delivered large tents as part of so-called “shelter kits” that include power generators, hiking beds, sleeping bags, blankets and a water tank. This equipment is used to provide temporary shelter for those in need.
Earlier, municipalities received power generators, chainsaws, cutting machines and other much-needed power tools as part of this emergency aid package.
The U-LEAD with Europe Programme is a multi-donor action of the European Union and its member states (Germany, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, Estonia and Slovenia) that helps to improve the delivery of administrative services in Ukraine.
